Triage the Inbox
Filter and search your feedback, act on one item or many at once, read the full record, keep notes and archive what is done.
The project page is the inbox: 20 items a page, newest first, with type filters, search and a By Page view. Hover a row for quick actions, or tick rows to assign, file or archive them together. Nothing is ever deleted: archived feedback comes back with one click.
Open a project and you are in its inbox. The header reads Feedback Inbox and counts the records that match your filters. It shows 20 items a page, newest first, with Previous and Next at the bottom. The list does not refresh by itself, so reload the page to see new arrivals.
Find the feedback that matters
The type buttons pick one kind of feedback at a time. Each shows how many active items it holds.
| Button | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every active item |
| Positive / Negative | Thumbs up or thumbs down |
| Neutral | Feedback from the single-button layout, which has no thumbs |
| Escalated | Items one of your escalation rules flagged |
| Video | Screen recordings. The button appears once the project has one |
Type in Search feedback… and press Enter to search the message, the page URL and the text of the element the visitor picked. Search stays on when you switch type.
All, Assigned to me and Unassigned narrow the list by owner. This filter works on the 20 rows on screen, not the whole project.
Each row carries badges:
| Badge | Means |
|---|---|
| Cyan dot | You have not opened it |
| New | It arrived since your last visit to this project |
| Escalated | A rule flagged it. Hover to see the rule’s name |
| Red count | How many console errors came with it |
| Picture icon | A screenshot is attached |
| Camera icon | A screen recording is attached |
| Purple count | Notes on it |
| #12, PR #3 | A GitHub issue or an AI pull request |
| Face | Who it is assigned to |
See feedback grouped by page
Click By Page next to the search box. The rows on screen group under the path they came from, with the busiest recent page first. Each group shows its positive and negative counts, its size and its newest date. Click a group to open it. Click Inbox to go back.
Act on one item from the list
Hover a row and its quick actions appear on the right. Hover an icon to see its name.
| Action | Does |
|---|---|
| Mark as read | Clears the unread dot. Only on unread rows |
| Archive | Moves it out of the inbox |
| Notes | Opens its notes in a window you can drag |
| Capture screenshot | Takes a picture of the page now. Only on rows with none; Pro |
| Create GitHub issue | Opens an issue. Only once a repository is connected |
| Assign | Gives it to a teammate, or Unassign |
Click anywhere else on the row to open the item.
Act on many at once
Tick the rows
Tick the box on each row you want. The box above the list ticks every row on the page.
Adjust the selection
All, None and Invert appear once something is ticked. They work on the rows on screen.
Pick an action
Assign gives every ticked item to one teammate, or Unassign clears them. Create issues files one Linear or Jira issue per item and reports how many were created, skipped and failed. It shows once a tracker is connected. Archive Selected archives them all.
A batch assignment puts a notice on the assignee’s bell but sends no email. See notifications and email.
Read one piece of feedback
Opening an item marks it read. The header shows the page path, the date and time, and the Escalated badge if a rule caught it. Below that, a section appears only when it has something in it.
The visitor’s words come first, under User Message. The Screenshot section shows the picture; click it for full size. With no picture, Capture Screenshot takes one now (Pro). A recording plays under Video Recording. Console Errors lists each captured line with error and warning counts, and Network Errors lists failed requests with their status, method, URL and response body. Details holds the page URL, the element selector and text, and who the item is assigned to, by whom and when. The Integrations row has the GitHub, Linear and Jira buttons and the AI fixes, covered in Linear and Jira. The visitor’s browser and device are not shown.
Keep notes for your team
Notes sit under Admin Notes at the foot of the item, or in the notes window from the list. Type and click Add Note. Each note shows its author and time. Any teammate can add a note or delete one, and a delete asks first. Assigning a single item adds a note of its own, such as “Sam assigned this to Alex”. Visitors never see notes.
Archive and bring back
An item can be archived three ways: the Archive button on its page, which also returns you to the list, the row icon, and Archive Selected.
Archived at the end of the filter row switches to what you put away, and turns into Active to switch back. In that view the row icon and Unarchive Selected restore items, and an item’s page offers Unarchive. Nothing is deleted.
Open a theme’s items from Insights
A theme on the Insights page links to the inbox with only the items grouped under it. A banner names the theme and the count. Show all feedback clears it. Type filters and search still work inside the theme.
Hand a batch to the assistant
The rows you tick are shared with the dashboard assistant, so you can tick ten items and ask it to sort them.
The assistant, screenshots and captured errors need Pro. See Free vs Pro.
